This week has been an interesting week as we got to see two new types of smartphone. These new smartphones folds in half giving you part phone and part tablet. With all the rumors around lately, you would expect the first company off the plate to be Samsung, but it wasn’t. Although they did offer their take on the foldable smartphone too.
The first device we’re talking about comes from Royole and it’s called the FlexPai. It has a screen on the outside of the device that can be folded outwards to create a tablet, or folded to create a smartphone. When the phone is folded, the screen runs around the front and to the back of the phone. Part of the screen makes up the “spine” of the phone like it would on a regular book.
