In marriage, you must learn to accommodate each other.
If you as husband and wife do not learn to accommodate each other, it will be difficult for you both.
Each of you has faults. You are bound to have differences. You must learn to get on well despite your differences and each other’s faults. Accept your spouse as he or she is. Bear in mind that it is not easy for an adult to change. Hence thinking that you can use anger or other coercive means to push your spouse to change may only create more trouble and leave both of you bitter and frustrated.
The “remarkable and imaginative painter” of Victorian Era who is best known for his somber moonlight upon urban landscapes and dockyards through leafless trees or cotton clouds expounded with pallid and augmented silhouettes, light and wet city streets.
Born in Park Street, Leeds on 6 September 1836 to Mary and David Grimshaw, John Atkinson Grimshaw began his working life as a clerk for the Great Northern Railway. It was during the time as a clerk he begun to explore his love for painting. In 1861, at the age of 24, to the dismay of his parents, he abandoned his job to endorse all his time to become a painter. In 1862, only a year later after he had left his job, Grimshaw had his first exhibition under the patronage of the Leeds Philosophical and Literary Society, which was mostly paintings of birds, fruit and blossom focused on still life and…

Movies This Week – 12-12-18
Go watch the Mortal Enginestrailer below, because it’s better than the movie by all accounts! If you’re looking for a film for kids, well Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse is the main show in town. We quietly loved it!
Aquaman is actually doing better with the critics than I was expecting! It currently has 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is about 30% higher than I was expecting.
Sadly, the new Lars von Trier “The House That Jack Built” is not very good. Such is life. So a disappointing week, all in all, but remember Spider-man. Free Solo is the documentary of the week.
Our Top Five Films This Week –
5. Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse
5. Sorry To Bother You
3. Free Solo

Ten years ago, if someone told me to think positive, I would break eye contact and walk away. Whenever I found myself in a tough situation, either at work, college or in social life, I would be in a bad mood and push people away. My whole mindset became dark and I could only hear were my own negative thoughts. I didn’t realise the damage I was doing to myself and others around me. When I do realise, that’s when my life started to change. I wanted to change the way I think and more importantly, the way I live my life.
In those ten years, I started to read books and blogs on self-improvement and dealing with challenges. From everything that I’ve read, there is one sentence that stayed with me:
“What consumes your mind, controls yourlife.”
That’s when everything made sense to me.I know now that my negative attitude…

Aquaman – Film Review by Fran Winston
Directed by: James Wan
Starring: Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman
In cinemas December 12th
Although this is Aquaman’s first standalone movie it is actually leading man Jason Momoa’s third outing as the aquatic superhero. He has previously appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017). Now fans finally get to see his origin story on the big screen.
Bringing this story to life was always going to be something of a big ask as – just like the title suggests – much of the action is set underwater in the land of Atlantis. Perhaps that is why it has taken till now for it to get the cinematic treatment as CGI and effects are at such a sophisticated level that it can be done convincingly rather than cheesily.

Love isn’t a quantity that you can weigh or turn it into an object. Love is a feeling that needs to be handled carefully. Some people lack of taking the importance of this and those around them will lack of their love. Love is one of the most important feelings.
Many people lack love and many others don’t have others to love them back. That’s why it is so important to share our love with others and we don’t have to to buy expensive gift to make them happy. How?
How to share our love?

One autumn afternoon drive,
stopped by this field of zinnias,
my childhood favorite flowers
bring out the little faces from
the ancient memory,
now oldies, yet, in each petal
is the innocent face, deriding
my sentiment, questioning
the youthful departure,
to see the secret treasure box
not even exist, except my children
who reward me with wrinkles and
some laughs, turning away
from the pink faces,
hear the giggles and whispers,
just like the old days when
hide and seek on the hayloft. Say,
I’ve learned to hear song
even in stormy days.

This is the real picture captured recently. This is the effect of using TV, Mobile phones. Though there are many bad effects, I have reflected here good effect of Advanced Technology !
It is amazing, isn’t it ? I have talked with these kids of 5-6 years old. They have said that they were meditating and when I asked them from where they have learnt, their answer was from Mobile phone.
What a wonderful scenery behind these kids ! A perfect place for meditation ! Isn’t it ? Nobody have taught them where and when and how to meditate. They know it , Technology help them.
So, be alert ! After few years, you will not be required to teach the kids, instead they will teach you.

What I say is your success is. certain;
And I say why I say so;
You will see why your success
please, let me know what you think;
It’s important to me;
Do you know what lies ahead?
Do you know what the future holds?
Do you know what the womb carries?
Do you know God’s plan for you?
It’s possible to guess;
But hard to know with certainty;
God has a big plan for you;
God has a wonderful plan
It is such a lovely plan for you;
Think of the loveliest thing
You would love God to do for you if you were given a blank cheque to fill.
Take time and think;
When you are done, read on;
As you are thinking,
Hold pen and paper in hand;
Write it down;
Fine tune it until
You are satisfied;
Are you done?…

I’ve really enjoyed most of my subjects this semester and I’m definitely going to tell you more about what courses I took and what I thought about them in the future when I get some more time.
I’m pretty scared about them and honestly I’m just hopping to pass at this point.
Exams can be nerve wrecking and I want to get them over with.
My first one is on the 10th and my last one is on 20th so I have exactly ten anxiety filled days where I’m going to be sweating a lot and probably breathing weird.
In case I don’t post as regularly during those 10 days I hope you guys understand why!
Wish me luck and let me know in the comments what helps you calm down during exams!

As the cold snow wistfully falls, I dream of romantic horse-drawn carriage rides through Central Park in New York City. Thick, soft blankets and some steaming, hot chocolate add to the ambiance. The horses appear happy trotting down the paved walkway sparkling in Christmas lights. But, some of these animals are better suited for a faster track, like sledding in the streets. For example, the ever-popular horse racing in the 1800s. The Massachusetts resident, James Pierpont wrote about the sport in his tune, “One-Horse Open-Sleigh,” later known as Jingle Bells in 1850.

On his way back to home from a sermon on one winter evening, the 16th century German professor of theology and the seminal figure in protestant reformer, Martin Luther was awed by the elegance of stars shining amidst the evergreen trees. Fascinated by the spectacle he erected a tree in his own house and adorned it with lighted candles. It is believed that Martin Luther was the first person who added candles to an evergreen. However, the ritual of using the evergreens during winter festivals predates Christianity. Pagans used evergreen fir branches to illustrate life in the dead of winter as it would make them think of the spring to come.
However, the tradition of illuminating the Christmas tree with candles approximately began in late 17th century by Germans. Even though Martin Luther had lit the first tree a century earlier, the first documented reference of lighting the Christmas tree…

People choose like losers but want to win. It’s not possible.
They are probably not aware of the importance of the choices they make or that are made for them.
Are you aware that you are the product of the sum of all the choices that have been made for you and that you have made since you were born?
That is a fact which we all need to know.
Every choice that you make or that is made for you, either makes you a little, or mars you a little.
No choice that you make or that is made for you leaves you in the same position. It either takes you a little towards success or a little towards failure.
At the end of the day, your life reflects your choices. If you make more wise choices…

Hello dear Laleh,I have just finished reading your book. Actually, I read it 2 times.While a relatively short novel, the story is rich in meaning. And it takes time to process the fates of the main character and her family.It’s easy for others to say “what a terrible fate” or “what horrible parents.”But we must remember: this can (and does) happen to anyone, at any time. In any country or region.As a woman, I was painfully reminded how all women must overcome many challenges in some form of other.It also forces us to question ourselves “what is a true civilised society?”Therefore, I hope others who read this powerful story will not be so quick to judge the characters.Instead, it gives us the opportunity to re-examine our own…

Where will such leaders come from? Will they fall from space? Not at all. There are no leaders in space waiting to be dropped down to lead us.
They must come from among us. Some are already here. We need many more. We must be the ones to build them. We must build leaders who will lead the world today or tomorrow, in a way that those they lead will be proud of them.
A good question is, can the education we offer in our schools today build such leaders?
My answer is it is not sure. The world will continue to be led by leaders who won’t be able to make those they lead proud of them unless our educational system is tailored to produce leaders of high…

If you want a great wife
for your son, bring up your daughter to be a great wife for someone else’s son.
Couples need to take note of this.

Who understands love?
How does it operate?
I don’t know;
Its operation intrigues me;
Why we love one person,
And not the other,
Bids my imagination;
And all we say is
Love is blind;
One man’s meat,
Another man’s poison;
You see somebody
You cannot resist;
You cannot explain;
Such is the way of love;
Hard to understand;
Sweet it is,
But easy also
To turn the other way;
From sweet to bitter;
From joy to pain;
It is tender;
And needs handling with care.
That is how I understand love.
Title: Shadow of the Fox
Author: Julie Kagawa
Genre: Fantasy, Action & Adventure, Young Adult, Japanese Folklore
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
This is Book One of a Trilogy. Therefore it is not a complete story.
At first, I was hesitant to read this book at first but found that it is heavily based on Japanese folklore. In historical times, there were many different yokai (demons) who plagued the world. There are also people who are hired to fight them. One of these such people is Tatsumi also known as the Kage demonslayer. He is tasked with a mission to find The Dragon Scroll. Along the way, he meets up with Yumeko, a half-kitsune who is put in charge of finding a secret temple thousands of miles away. The two must journey together in order to find the secrets each…

I’ve said it before, it is a writer’s job to pay attention to happenings within society. Western culture is steeped in isolation. Most people have forged little islands for themselves. Sometimes those islands have room for a friend or closest family members, but beyond that there appears to be little engagement. Things like “casual friendships” and “casual relationships” are common place. What does it mean to be “casually” involved with someone be it friendship or romantically? From my perspective it reflects an unwillingness to invest.
Let’s get this out of the way first. There is no way to possibly keep in active contact with everyone you’ve known or once had a friendship with. There is nothing wrong with relationships changing and sometimes people grow apart. That is perfectly okay. Especially if it is mutual. I think we all look back on our past and think, “how was I ever friends…

The phrases “personal branding” and “networking skills” make a lot of people cringe. It’s often associated with being sleazy and ingenuine, with the main goal being wriggling your way into the “inner circle” for your own selfish reasons.
Leaving aside the nasty reputation, networking—if it’s based on building genuine relationships—is one of the most powerful tools for personal brands.
First of all, hanging out with the crowd in your industry is important for being able to learn from the best—knowledge sharing is one of the most powerful ways for everyone to succeed.
Networking is also a great way to get yourself associated and on the radar with other professionals—not just because, but for establishing useful partnerships and cooperation.
There is definitely a subtle art behind successful and authentic networking. Besides the work that goes into figuring out your motives, finding your approach, and creating compelling conversations, a lot of hard…

The first time I saw 500 Days of Summer, it left me feeling irritated, even angry. Okay, fine: The movie straight-up made my blood boil. At the time, I couldn?t place my admittedly judgy finger on what exactly it was about the film made my skin crawl. But now, after several years of rom-com exposure therapy, I?ve figured it out: Joseph Gordon-Levitt?s character is a softboy.
While fuccbois, tiny hat boys, and the like are (relatively) easy to identify, the softboy?s power comes from his ability to blend in and seem completely normal—or even progressive and woke. The softboy?s defining feature is being a wolf in sheep?s clothes, rife with paradoxes for his unsuspecting dates to sort.
Generally speaking, he seems to understand the plight of women and be an ally against misogyny. But (but!), if you pay attention closely, you?ll hear him slip…

The Leeds-Liverpool canal at Parbold, Lancs.
I was out along the canal yesterday with my camera. There were the usual canal-side scenes: houseboats moored-up, ropes taut, cosy curls of smoke rising from squat chimneys. There was a bridge, a windmill, an old canal-side pub, and a low, wintry sun scattering yellow stars across mud coloured water. It was late afternoon with a clear, pale sky, but little energy in it, and it was cold. I took around twenty shots, but none came out the way I saw them. They lacked detail, seemed flat, with a compressed range of tones. Indeed, I might have done as well with my phone – and my phone’s not great.
This tells me two things, both probably true: One, I’ve still a way to go before I learn how to handle that camera properly and, two, my imagination tends to overpaint a scene in ways…
